European Parliament
FI Engineering is regularly selected to carry out many studies and provide advice for the European Parliament in response to calls for tender won for framework contracts.
The tasks given to FI Engineering are very varied.
Just a few examples:
- Assistance to the Parliament for the approval of the “Square de Meeûs 8” building:
This 40,000m² building was renovated in 2014 by Kanam Grund Square de Meeûs S.A. and is in the process of being approved by the European Parliament.
In this context, FIE, in association with other specialised offices assisted the Parliament in monitoring the proper execution of the work by the owner according to the contracts signed and the blue book of the European institutions (MIT).
- Project Management and design office for the extension of the kitchen and restaurant in the “Square de Meeûs 8” building:
This renovation project and kitchen extension, capable of serving more than 900 covers, was also carried out alongside other design offices.
This renovation of the kitchen/cafeteria, required the adaptation of the entire HVAC system (addition of two new ventilation units) and the adaptation of the entire power distribution and fire safety system. This project was carried out in a very short time so that the building occupants could use it as quickly as possible.
- Many designs were made to update security systems, development of office space, renovation and replacement of technical equipment.
